Wave Rock Trail

The central wheatbelt area of Australia’s Golden Outback is a wonder waiting to be enjoyed. Its massive granite outcrops with spectacular views, charming country towns, unique rock formations and changing landscapes are well worth a visit.

You will find numerous nature reserves with walk trails which are rich in flora and also fauna.

The highlight is one of Australia’s most famous landforms - Wave Rock. Situated just near the town of Hyden, and at 15 metres high and more than 100 metres long, Wave Rock looks like a giant surf wave of multicoloured granite about to crash onto the bush below

  • Explore the Macrocarpa Trail, one kilometre west of Kulin
  • Pick your favorite horse along the 20 kilometre Tin Horse Highway, Kulin
